Burton, Freeda Thornton

Freeda Ernestine Thornton Burton, age 75 of Dublin, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her home. Born May 14, 1932 in Pulaski, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Ernest Harvey & Ethel Raye Meredith Thornton.

She was married to Carl Edward Jones and Elbert Burton, Jr. who both have preceded her in death, and also her sisters; Leila Frances Zarbok & Ethel Beatrice Baxter and brother; Harold Freeman Thornton also precede her in death.

Freeda attended the Dublin Church of God.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Dublin Church of God with Pastors Michael Collins & Tom Rice officiating.
Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the New River Valley Carilion Hospice Services.
