kinkade-living-watersCleatis Hager Burton, 88 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 17th, 2014 at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek. She was born in Bland County on June 2nd, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Lake Hager and Elise Mae Burton. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Averial Woody Ferrell; a son, Larry Edison Ferrell; a daughter, Cleatis Claudine Ferrell; and two sisters, Cora Leftwitch and Dorothy Perdue. A longtime employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows, Cleatis was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Church of Christ. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Cleatis will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 50 years, Richard Eugene Burton; two sons, Averial Lee Ferrell and Johnny Ferrell; several grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Lisa Kast; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Elma Hale and Mary Bowles; and a brother, Ed Hager; several nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
