Erin Elizabeth Burroughs, 38, of Radford, passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2020. A loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend, she is survived by her husband, Daniel Burroughs; her paternal grandparents, Ted and May Dishon; her parents, Leon and Carol Dishon; her brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Kayla Dishon; and her four children, Peyton, Addy, Alice and Annabelle. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Eunice Covey.

As a graduate of Radford University with a BA in Art, Erin was an accomplished graphic designer, working for multiple firms as well as owning her own business over the years. She was most recently employed by the Virginia Tech library, doing graphic design work. She was creative and talented and would produce beautiful art with any medium. Erin’s art adorns many of her family’s walls and her whimsical style is immediately identifiable.

Erin, Danny, and their four children are active members of Blue Ridge Church in Christiansburg and enjoyed worshipping with the church family there every Sunday. Along with doing creative art projects, she enjoyed thrift store shopping in search of her next vintage treasure. Erin loved to spend her free time with her family, enjoying simple pleasures like sitting on the front porch swing with her adoring husband and enjoying family sketch night at the dinner table. Her joy was found through the joy of her family.

Everyone Erin came in contact with will remember her as a sweet, loving individual who would go out of her way to help other people. She touched so many lives with her care and generosity and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

A graveside service will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin on September 3rd at 2:30pm with Pastor Scott Obenchain and Dr. Paul Lane officiating.

The Burroughs family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
