Burress, Betty Miller

Betty Jean Burress, 87 of Christiansburg, passed away on December 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Burress; parents, Joseph and Mary Miller; and daughter, Rosa Lee Burress.

Betty is survived by her sons, Joseph W. Burress, Ronald Burress (Sandra), Donald Burress (Nancy); daughter, Darlene Reed (Phil); grandchildren, Travis Reed (Kari), Kayla Comer (fiancé Brad Spangler), Joey Burress (Nicole), Diedra Burress, Ashley Atkins (Sam); 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She will also be missed by her sisters, Shirley Kinder, Priscilla Whitlock (Mack); as well as several special nieces, nephews, special friends, and neighbors.

Betty loved going to church at Harbor of Hope and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed loving on and playing with the great-grandchildren. Betty loved the holidays, cross stitching, quilting, and going to yard sales. She was also a volunteer at RSVP. Betty will be truly missed by all who knew her!

The family would like to thank Dr. Hamden, nurse Carrie, and special niece, Cathy Kinder for their care of Betty.

Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2022, from 12-1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Craig Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
