Burnette, Kitty Sue Rice

Kitty Sue Rice Burnette, 71, of Copper Hill, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances M. Rice and Marie Frye Rice; and her husband, Wayland Emerson Burnette Sr.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayland Jr. and Tina Burnette; stepgrandson, Jessie and Renee Jefcoat; step-great-grandsons, Cole Jefcoat and Zachary Jefcoat; aunts, Frances Frye and Beulah Owens; and sisters-in-law, Hilda Underwood, Geraldine Williams and Louise Wimmer.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Maurice Wright officiating and interment to follow in the Copper Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
