Burnette, Frances Elizabeth Branscome

Frances Elizabeth Branscome Burnette, 77, of Pulaski, Va., died early Monday morning, September 21, 2009, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Johnson City, Tenn. and was the daughter of the late Valley E. Branscome and Sarah E. Tipton Branscome. Mrs. Burnette was a Dispatcher for the Town of Pulaski from 1977 until 1994 and was a retired LPN from Pulaski Hospital and The Randolph House, Pulaski. Surviving are her spouse, Thomas James Burnette, Pulaski, Va.; daughter, Carolyn Farmer, Hurt, Va.; son, John Paul Burnette; granddaughters, Jessica Farmer Ashby, Hurt, Va., Remington Whorley, Hurt, Va.; grandson, Kristopher Whorley, Hurt, Va.; sisters, Pauline Bone, Johnson City, Tenn., Florence Goode, Johnson city, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Pansy Burnette Morris, Pulaski, Va.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-greatnieces and great-greatnephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 11 a.m. from Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.
