Burk, Nita Shepherd

Nita (Eunice) Shepherd Burk, of Christiansburg, loving wife, Mom and Nana went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2007.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va. to the late Ed and Helen Shepherd. Eunice was employed by RAAP for 27 years. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Junior Miller, Archie Shepherd, and Marshall Shepherd; and two sisters, Melba Shepherd and Louise Sarver.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years, Jube Burk; her children and their spouses, Richard and Connie Burk, Kim and Brian MacInnis, Karen and Gary Arrowood; three grandchildren, Brittany Arrowood, Ian MacInnis, and Neil MacInnis; brothers and sisters, Everett and Darlene Shepherd, Harvey and Brenda Shepherd, Ruth Moore, Jack and Dorothy Shepherd, Conston Spradlin, Dean Henderson, Frances and Marcelo Flores; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007 at Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jerry Shepherd and Pastor Johnny Early officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the church and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church.
