Burk, Harold “PeeWee”

Harold “Pee Wee” Burk, age 68, of Christiansburg passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013, as a result of a heart attack. Pee Wee worked at the Lynchburg Foundry for 40 years, and most recently worked at the New River Valley Mall.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Verna Burk; a brother, Owen; and a sister, Nitta. Survivors include: brother, Jube (Bonnie) Burk; sister, Ara (Don) Gallimore; brother, Jayhugh (Sheryl) Burk; sister-in-law, Betty Burk, of Suffolk; several nieces, nephews, other special family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, the ICU and 2nd Floor physicians and nursing staff at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery, and Tim and Lynn Johnson for their support. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jube Burk and Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, 190 Depot Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon-2:00 pm Saturday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg. Visitation at other times at the home of Donald and Ara Gallimore.
