David A. Burdette of Pulaski, Va., LTC United States Army Retired, January 10, 2018.

Beloved husband of Carol (Higgs) Burdette; dearest dad of David Michael Burdette (of blessed memory), Amy Burdette, Meredith (Steve) Stockman, David (Sarah) Schwerk, Janet Schwerk; cherished Papa to Skylar, Lily, Sierra, Eric, Lucy, and Zoe. Also survived by a sister, brother, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

David’s career spanned over 40 years in Higher Education where he worked in finance and administration at several universities across the country.

Services will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name can be made to the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery for the Cemetery Beautification Program or the Wreath Program.
