Burchett, Virginia Webster

Virginia Grace Webster Burchett, 96, of Mt. Olivet Road, Pulaski, Va., passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center. Born on May 10, 1913, in Radford, Va., she was the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Melita G. Roope Webster. Her husband, John Malachi Burchett; son, Richard Lee Burchett; brother, James Garfield Webster; sister, Bertha Webster Manuel; and daughter-in-law, Beulah Cox Burchett, also preceded her in death.

She was a longtime member of the Pulaski Church of God.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie G. and Barbara Burchett, of Pulaski, and Ralph Burchett, of Pulaski; stepson, Junior Burchett, of Staunton, Va.; daughter-in-law, Betty Burchett, of Norcross, Ga.; grandchildren, Debbie Burchett, of Norcross, Ga., Rhonda and Paul Ellis, of Norcross, Ga., Terry Burchett, of Norcross, Ga., Kim and Dave Hart, of Pulaski, Todd Burchett and Amy Morris, Radford, Va., Curtis and Laura Burchett, of Roanoke, Va., Wayne and Susan Burchett, of Shiloh, and Michael and L.E. Burchett, of Pulaski; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Lonnie and Ruby Manuel, of Alexandria, Va.

A special thanks to the Pulaski Rehab for their loving care, especially Denise, Marie and Kathy.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Pulaski Church of God with the Pastor Jerry Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time on Thursday evening at the Pulaski Church of God. Interment will be at the Hufford Cemetery at noon on Friday, June 12, 2009.

Friends and family may visit at the home of Kim and Dave Hart at 35 6th Street N.E., Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Pulaski Church of God in her honor.
