Buckner, Herman Wayne

Herman Wayne Buckner, 62, of Radford, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Buckner; a brother, Daniel Buckner; and both sets of grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Buckner of Radford; mother, Lula Sloan Harden of Princeton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Rita Buckner of Bland, Va., Robert and Geraldine Buckner of Bluefield, Tommy Buckner of Lexington, N.C., Alton and Debbie Buckner of Michigan; two sisters, Brenda Myers and Belinda Dillon both of Princeton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Annie Edney; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday, October 27 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Church of God in Fairlawn with the Rev. Jerry Buckner and the Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church.The Buckner family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory in Radford.
