Shawn Todd (Teddy) Buchanan, 46, of Pearisburg, Va., departed this life Thursday morning, February 4, 2010. Born in Giles County on March 14, 1963, he was a son of Caroline Young (Callie) Buchanan, of Pearisburg, and the late Cleveland Roosevelt Buchanan. Teddy was a kind and gentle person that caused everyone who came in contact with him to love him. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Callie Buchanan, of Pearisburg; his sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Wes Mutter, of Pembroke; his brothers, Robert Buchanan and Debbie Bradberry, of Pearisburg, and Jeffrey Buchanan, of Pearisburg; his nieces, Jennifer and Travis Cain, and Megan Buchanan; his nephews Michael Shortt, Noah Mutter, and Hudson Cain; and his special friend, Harold Shultz. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2010, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, February 6, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. before the services.
