Buchanan II, Benny Robert

On July 25, 2017, Benny Robert Buchanan II, age 54, residing in Saltville, VA passed from his earthly life into his new eternal heavenly home.

Benny was born in Giles County, VA on September 13, 1962 to Benny Robert and Judy Buchanan. He was preceded in death by both parents and his wife of 31 years, Linda C Buchanan.

Benny graduated from Narrows High School, Narrows VA. He worked as a skilled laborer in the plaster and drywall industry for many years.

Benny, became a father of 4 children instantly at a very early age when he met, fell in love with and married his wife of 31 years Linda. When Benny took on the role of being a (bonus) dad to these young children, he stepped up and stepped in just when the time was right. He and Linda then had a son, “Bobby” which made them a family of 7.

Benny was a friend, a buddy, and a parent who touched so many lives and never knew a stranger.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Benny Robert Buchanan III and wife Kristina of Saltville, VA.; Step-daughters, Laura Easter and husband Jimmy of Dublin, VA., Larissa Partlow and husband William of Hartselle, AL., Step-sons; Lucas Hayden of Lynnville TN., Larry Hayden, Jr and wife Dee of Bay City, MI.

Grandchildren; Ashley Easter, Katie Easter, Gabriel Walker, Hayden Partlow, Ethan Partlow, Caroline Partlow, Megan Hayden, Logan Hayden, Maggie Greenwood, Shelby Hayden, Kari Hayden. And 9 great-grandchildren. Several Aunts, and cousins.

Despite our heartbreak we can rejoice that he is now home and cancer free!!! Chapter one of eternity has begun and we await our reunion one day.

Plans are in process for a Memorial Service in Giles County VA., in the Wolf Creek area.
