Buchanan, Esther W.

Esther W. Buchanan, of Dublin, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Buchanan; her parents, Lattimore Wyatt and Celia Wilson Wyatt; her two brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her three children, Ronald Buchanan, Madge Allred and Nina Coble; and by her stepchildren, Dan Buchanan and Barbara Buchanan. She has 12 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Esther loved flowers, birds, quilting, cooking and her family. She worked at Luck’s Inc. for many years and touched the lives of many with whom she worked. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va., where her son, Ronald, serves as Senior Pastor. She was previously a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church in Randolph County, N.C., where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher to the children there. Esther loved people, especially her family and most of all the Lord Jesus Christ in whose presence she now rests. The Graveside Service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Randolph County, N.C., with Pastor Ronald Buchanan officiating.
