kinkade-lighthouse3Norman Keith Bryant passed away Sunday April 13, 2014. “Papa” was surrounded by many family members, bathed in love. Keith was born July 3, 1936 to Samuel Keith Bryant and Mabel Jane Carter Bryant in Carroll County, Va. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended Bluefield College. He held several bookkeeping positions before spending 35 years at Cockerham Oil in Galax, Va. until he retired in 1998.

Keith is survived by his bride of 59 years, Beulah Lynn Lyons Bryant. Also surviving are sons, Denton K. Bryant (Laura) and Billy (Kathy), daughters, Rebecca B. Steed (Mike) and Diane B Miller (Barry). Also left to cherish many precious memories are his grandchildren: Carter Bryant (Yao Yao), Connor Bryant (Jennifer), Scott Sutton (Griffin), Albert Steed (Shanna), Rebecca Miller (Zachary), Ronald Miller (Deana), Rachel Griffin (Brian), and Megan Bryant. He also had 2 much loved great grandchildren Madelon Sutton and Logan Steed. He also is survived by his sister Leota Bryant Edwards (Huck).

Keith loved reading and studying the Bible and he taught Adult Sunday School for many years. Most recently he attended Coulson Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed his family and the love he gave and received from them all. He also took great delight in bluegrass music, traveling, genealogy, and good food.

Service will be at 3PM on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Coulson Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:30 until 3:00. Burial will follow at Coulson Cemetery.
