Brumfield, Roy Anderson

Roy Anderson Brumfield, 93, of Christiansburg, Va. passed away Monday, October 22, 2018.

Mr. Brumfield worked and retired from RAAP as a Security Guard. He was a member of the Shriners, the VFW, DAV, America Legion, Eastern Star, and he loved to travel. Mr. Brumfield was an Army Veteran serving his country proud, he served in WW II and was a POW, which made him a disabled veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ellett and Minmie Brumfield; his wife, Nannie Lou Brumfield; brothers and sisters, John, Charlie, Pauline, Marie, Marie & Mary.

Survivors include daughter, Carolyn B. and Ron Winfrey of Bluefield, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Howard W. and Cheryl Brumfield of W.Va.; special friend, Mary Hass, Perryburg, Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Friday, October 26, 2018 at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 with Pastor Danny Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery with full military honors.
