Brumfield, Jenny Thompson
Jenny Ellen Thompson Brumfield, age 76, of Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on January 24, 1942 to the late Ferd Harvey and Annie Dickerson Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle David Brumfield, Jr., two sons, Billy and Tim Brumfield, one brother, F. J. Thompson, two sisters, Barbara Samworth, and Geraldine Oliver.
Jenny enjoyed time with her friends at the Saturday night auction.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathy Brumfield, Steve and Kim Brumfield; daughter and son-in-law, Dempsie and Wayne Ketch; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma Long, Reba and Benny Surface, Ann and Wallace Yopp; brother, Harvey Oliver; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Patsy Day; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace (Buck) Yopp officiating. Interment will follow at the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW Blacksburg, VA 24060.

Prayers for all the family she was married to my cousin Jr Brumfield. She was a sweet lady. She always told me i was like one of her grandkids she will be dearly missed.
