Brumfield, James W.

James W. ‘Jim’ ‘Red’ Brumfield, 86, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.

Jim was born on December 7, 1931 in Cambria, VA, to the late, Esca and Freeda Brumfield. He retired from Moog and attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church for 50 years, serving as a deacon for 39 years. Jim loved to help others, especially painting. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Model A Club since 1980 and was an avid Ford man.

Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Shirley J. Brumfield; daughters, Deborah K. ‘Debbie’ Brumfield, Robin Albert (Steve); grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, Laura N. Harry (Keenan), Christopher M. Albert; also a special ‘daughter’, Donna B. Wells; as well as a host of other family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 475 Clearview Drive, Christiansburg.
