Bruce II, Robert Jackson

Robert Jackson (Jackie) Bruce, II, 34, of Roanoke and formerly of Pulaski, Va., died on Sunday, November 25, 2007.

He was born December 28, 1972 in Charlottesville, Va. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School and attended the College of William and Mary and Radford University. He served as an Area Supervisor for Macado’s Restaurants.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Atkinson, of Roanoke; his parents, Jack and Sally Bruce of Roanoke; a sister and brother-in-law, Shane and Trey Tilson of Lexington, Va.; a nephew and niece, Calvin and Olivia Tilson; aunt and uncle, Kitten and Bill Stearns of Bedford, N.H.; cousins, Ashley Burr and her husband, Andrew; and daughter, Miller, of New Canaan, Conn. and Wes Stearns of Denver, Colo. He also leaves behind his special “Little Brother,” Deyante Terry.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Vickie Houk officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. There will be no visiting at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends briefly following the committal at the cemetery.
