Brown, Sylvia Oneda

Sylvia Oneda Brown, 86, of Rich Creek, VA., passed away Monday, April, 23, 2018 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Bozoo, WV, and was the daughter of the late Bernard Lee and Eula Marie Dickinson Reed.

She had cooked at Glen Lyn Elementary for several years was retired from Celanese Corp. and was an active member of Appalachian Christian Center in Peterstown, WV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by first husband Millard Bailey, a grandson, Randy Pack and a brother Charles Reed.

Surviving is her husband Harry E. Brown of Rich Creek, VA, two daughters, Carolyn Bradley and husband David of Peterstown, WV, and Oneda Pack and husband Randall of Ballard, WV; one brother, John Reed and wife Ruby of Max Meadows, VA; one sister, Imogene Thomas of Oakvale, WV; four grandchildren, Christina Collins and husband Kenny, Anthony Pack and wife Robin, Stephanie Chambers and husband Jamie, and Jason Pack and wife Kathleen. Eight Great Grandchildren, Cory & wife Brittany, Cody, Bailey, Bradley, Magdalena, Miranda, Ali, and Bannon. One great Grandchild, Aubree.

Graveside Services at Peterstown Cemetery, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 with Pastor Michael Biggs and Barry Harper officiating.
