Brown, Richard A.

Richard A. Brown, 49, of Shawsville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2007. He was a 30 year employee of Yokohama Tire Corporation. Richard was a member of Auburn Baptist Church and United Steel Workers Local #1020.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca F. Brown; son, Eric Eller and wife, Jessie of Blacksburg; daughter, Carla Brown Harris and husband, Damon Lee, of Floyd; grandchildren, Dylan, Cody, Zoey, Zack, and Zeak; mother, Sarah Ann Brown of Roanoke; father, Hylton Brown of Bedford; sisters, Barbara Luke and husband, Jim, of Vinton, Missy Brown of Roanoke, and Teresa Juhl and husband, Paul, of Olivia, N.C.; and mother-in-law, Irma Dean Eller of Blacksburg.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Building Fund c/o Auburn Baptist Church, 1708 Carriage Road, Riner, Va. 24149. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Auburn Baptist Church by the Rev. Stanley (Shake) Smith.
