Brown, Raymond Wilder

Raymond Wilder Brown, 66, of Blacksburg, died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Roanoke, Va. on June 29, 1944. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Sanders and grandmother, Granny Brown. He is survived by wife, Betty Hale Whitlock, of Blacksburg; three sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Brown and Gary Brown, both of Pilot, Steve and Amanda Brown, of Radford; stepdaughter, Patricia Whitlock, of Christiansburg; stepsons, David Whitlock and wife, Carrie, of Christiansburg, Bob Whitlock and wife, Kim, of Sylvassa, India; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; special friends, Eddie and Mary Whittaker. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the ICU unit and second floor for their special care of Raymond and family. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, with the Rev. Rador Vaden officiating . There will be no viewing at the funeral home and friends may call at the home.
