Brown, Mattie V.

Mattie V. Brown, 94, of Dublin, Va., passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015, at Lewis Gale Hospital in Pulaski, Va. She was born on September 26, 1920, to the late Alice and Charles Valentine in Dublin, Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Brown Sr.; her son, Daniel Jr.; and daughter, Cecil S. Boffman.

Mattie is survived by her grandaughter, Michelle Boffman Picou (Sean); her grandson, James R. Boffman Jr. (Martina); and three great-grandchildren, Mykal Snell, Jourdan Picou and Nina Boffman, all of Woodbridge, Va.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Dublin United Methodist Church located in Dublin, Va. The interment will follow in West Dublin Cemetery. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the funeral at the church. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
