Brown, Jeanetta LaRue Conley

Jeanetta LaRue Conley Brown, 83 of Peterstown passed away peacefully Monday, October 29th, 2007 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. She was born on Wolf Creek in Giles County on May 3rd, 1924, and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Annie Lee Johnston Conley.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Donald Lee Brown; a brother, Garland Conley; and two sisters, Arlene “Curley” Riddle and Veronia “Ronnie” French.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she always put everybody else first. She was a member of Peterstown Christian Church. She will be deeply missed by her entire family and all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald Lee Brown II and wife Penny, Sheila Dunn and husband Marshall, Joe Brown, and Sheldon Brown, all of Peterstown, and Rodney Brown and wife Tammy of Princeton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Conley and wife Marie; two sisters, Bobbie Jones and husband Leon, and Harriett Clark, all of Narrows, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Conley Family Cemetery in the Wolf Creek Community near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.
