Brown, Ida Edwards (Ted or Teddy)

Ida Edwards (Ted or Teddy) Brown, 82, of Pearisburg, passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 11, 2011. Mrs. Brown was born on December 3, 1928, in Burkes Garden, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Brown; father and mother, Joe and Pearl Edwards; and brothers, Joe Edwards Jr., and Charlie Edwards. Surviving Ted are her beloved children, Mary Etta and Frank Young, of Dublin, Brenda and George Wilkinson, of Pearisburg, Cecily and Mike Britts, of Pembroke, and Larry and Nancy Brown, of Burien, Wash.; grandchildren, Mike and Janette Brown, of Radford, Caleb Quesenbery, of Roanoke, and McKayleigh and Justin Brown, of Burien, Wash.; great-grandson, Ethan Brown, of Radford; sisters, Margaret Goodman, of Bluefield, W.Va., and Florence Thomas, of Tazewell; and brother, Guy Wilson, of Mt. Orab, Ohio. Private services for the family will be held at Birchlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Pearisburg on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, with Pastor Rob Lough officiating.
