sea-of-tranquilityBobby Wayne Brown, 72, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sharron Brown, along with his children and their families Chuck Brown (wife, Sheila, children, Jessica, Corey and Haleigh), Tina Brown Francisco (husband, Lee, children, Kaitlyn and Kaleb, LaTonya Martin, and Elijah Brown. Bobby followed Jesus as an active member of River of Life Church. He served in the United States Army in Panama and devoted his recent years to service with the VFW and other veterans organizations. Bobby was an active motorcyclist, riding his Harley with family and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He will also be remembered for his love of animals, particularly his dogs and even the bees he kept. A service of witness to the resurrection will be held to celebrate Bobby’s life at 7 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. immediately preceding the service. There will be a military honors burial ceremony on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be sent to the VFW Outpost #1184 Dora Highway, Pulaski, VA. 24301 or Christian Motorcycle Association Mountain Curve Riders #676 (mark as CMA Memorial Gift for Bobby Brown c/o Keith Covey, 4614 Miller Lane, Pulaski, VA. 24301).
