Susan Kay Broman, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away December 16, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born in Detroit, Mich. to Kenneth Broman and Nelle Miller Broman on November 25, 1937. She graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H. and attended Middlebury College. She had a successful career in the automotive industry including Chief Financial Officer for multi-dealership corporation in Texas. She also possessed a commercial driver’s license and drove commercial tractor trailers for several years as an owner-operator, getting to every state in the Continental United States. She was an avid gardener and had beautiful gardens everywhere she lived. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of her dog and cat. She is survived by her sons, Robert Harrington, of Bow, N.H., and Kenneth Broman, of Christiansburg, Va.; a sister, Sally Curran, of Lyndleborough, N.H.; two nephews; two grand-nieces and two grand-nephews. There will be no calling hours and a family service will be held in New Hampshire. Memorial donations may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society Shelter, P.O. Box 287, Blacksburg, Va. 24063.
