Broce Sr., John Richard

John Richard Broce Sr., 65, of Blacksburg, Va., and Pleasant Mount, Pa., died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at his home. He was born in Richmond, Calif., on March 4, 1947. He is survived by his daughter, Leisa R. Bock, of Carbondale, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Linda Broce, of Falls Mills, Va.; grandchild, Lukas Bock, of Carbondale, Pa.; parents, Gilbert and Nellie Broce; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Debbie Broce, Roger and Becky Broce, all of Blacksburg; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Bansemer officiating. Interment will follow in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the church.
