Brizendine, Mabel Adeline

Mabel Adeline Brizendine, 86, of Blacksburg, Va., died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Craig County, Va. on May 1, 1924, to the late Frank and Nannie Gaye Medley Hutchison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell E. Brizendine; one son, Billy G. Brizendine; sisters, Marie Fleet, Margaret Trout, Shirley Duncan; one brother, Ralph Hutchison. She was a member of Tried-Stone Christian Center. She is survived by her four sons and daughter-inlaw, Robert E. and Clorene Brizendine, of Richmond, Roger L. and Patsy Brizendine, Terry L. Brizendine, and Larry (Jake) Brizendine, all of Blacksburg; two sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Delton Agnor, of Gibsonville, N.C., Stella Collins, of Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Frances Hutchison, of Salem; 14 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; nine greatgreat-grandchildren; two special nieces, Judy Kingsley and Lois McCoy; and special friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vince Guerra officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
