Magdalena Brey-Denbow, 94, formerly of Fayetteville, died in Radford, Virginia. Born in Breman, Germany, she served in the Army Nurse Corp in France during WWII and graduated from Syracuse University.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Syracuse. She retired from Cazenovia Elementary School as school nurse teacher.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Ward Gardner, Rudolf Brey and Russell Denbow; and her sister, Wilma Sattelmeier.

She is survived by her children, Amy (George) Bailey of Jersey Shores, PA, Judy (Joe) Flickinger of Radford, VA, Patricia (Phil) Dana of Holland Patent and Laurie (Bill) Harrington of Bridgeport, NY; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 2 – 3 pm Monday, December 19th at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, New York. The service will follow the calling hour. Spring burial will be in New Woodstock Cemetery.
