Breedlove, Ruth

Ruth Breedlove, 90 of Pulaski, entered into her eternal home Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, Va.She was born on July 14, 1924 in Delton, and was the daughter of the late Maude Tipton Rogers and James Monroe Floyd Rogers. She was a member of the Jordan’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walden Douglas Breedlove; anda brother, James Ralph Rogers, and son, Walden Douglas Breedlove, Jr.She is survived by two sons, Monroe Wade Breedlove and his wife. Kathy of Atlanta, and Donald Wayne Breedlove of Pulaski; one daughter, Doris B. Hedrick and her husband, Joe of Natural Bridge; Sister-in-law, Tharon Valentino of Sanford, N.C.; Special friends, include Holly King, Megan Price, Jordan Price, and Journey Price along with her extended church family, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Jordans Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Robertson-Gouge officiating. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery where military honors will be performed. he family will receive friends Friday evening from 6to 8 p.m. at the church.
