Breeding, Roechelle Porterfield
Roechelle Porterfield Breeding, 58, of Maybrook, was born October 29, 1964 She was the daughter of the late Noble and Christine Porterfield. A devoted mother, sister, and friend, she danced into the arms of Jesus March 9, 2023 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
She graduated from Giles High School in 1983. She would have told you her greatest achievements and joys were being with her family, and friends and over the last 10 years being in the Rescue squad where she did what she loved most saving lives and helping her community. You could also find Rochelle enjoying being outdoors planting or putting up decorations at her house she had a green thumb that’s for sure. She loved to write, she could fill many blank pages with the many stories she wrote. She always had a smile on her face and was nice to everyone she met. These last few months she had been battling an illness she was always in good spirits till her last day and that’s how everyone is going to remember her as a fighter and loving person.
She is preceded in death by her parents Noble and Christine Porterfield, Husband Allen Breeding, Sister (Micky) Elizabeth Porterfield. Can’t Forget her Fur Babies Cootie and Lil Bill.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Allen (Henry) Breeding, Fur babies Bella and more, Special cousins, Bobby Joe, Michelle (Michael) Raines, Cassidy (Cody) Pagan, Greg, Tracie, and Trey (Danielle)Smith, Sissy T, Sissy Missy, Ashley (Jr), Katlyn, Kandice, and Rowdy Cooper all of Newport. One of three childhood best friend Vicki Tickle. All her Rescue and Fire family of Giles County.
As Many know She was a mentor and someone to look up to and over the years she became a surrogate mother to Rose & Grant Sexton, Christopher (CJ) Hagreen, Matthew (Caleb) Stump, and Sandra Cayton (Cat Monkey jr).
A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Gene Shrader and Eddie Kendall officiating. Funeral Services will conclude in the Lucas Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
