Brannock, Geraldine Sattenfield

Geraldine Sattenfield Brannock, 75, of Riverbend Lane at Pembroke, departed this life Saturday evening May 27, 2006 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Blacksburg, Va.

Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. on June 1, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur W. and Rhoda Childress Sattenfield. She was a devoted member of First Assembly of God in Winston-Salem and was retired as a retail clerk with J. C. Penny Co. in Winston-Salem.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur W. Sattenfield, Jr. and Jerry E. Sattenfield and two sisters, Lois Sattenfield and Betty Sattenfield Gill.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Alvin Brannock, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Steve Davis of Pembroke; two brothers, Ted Sattenfield of Walnut Cove, N.C. and Bobby Sattenfield of King, N.C.; a sister, Peggy S. Bowman of Salisbury, N.C.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke, Va. with burial following in Sunrise Cemetery in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday two hours before the services. Online condolences may be sent to kendallfuneralhome.com.
