Branch, Patrick B.

Patrick Balbus Branch, 75, of Floyd, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Lewis Branch; and his parents, Patrick Lewis Branch and Ruth Bocock Branch.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise Eleanor Branch, of Floyd; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Shawn Gallagher, of Floyd; Cindy and Scott MacGillivray, of Stuart, Fla.; three grandchildren, William Gallagher, Jennifer Gallagher and Rusty Branch; one stepgranddaughter, Ali MacGillivray; one great-grandson, Nicholas Branch; one sister, Mary Branch, of Check; one brother-in-law, Sam Martin and Norma; two sisters-in-law, Betty Watson and Bob Cooper, Rachel Martin; a very special friend, David Whitlock, of Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Allan Vass, the Reverend Leon Alley and the Reverend Danny Whitlock officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. Friends may call on Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home after 6 p.m. where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
