Ora C. (Granny Duck) Brammer, 101, of Floyd, Va. passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Granny Duck ran her race and finished her course and received her crown of righteousness.

She was born December 15, 1905 to the late Oriet and Leliah Kitterman Correll. Ora was the oldest member of New Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.S. Bub Brammer; infant son, Ben; and daughter-in-law, Eula Brammer.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Clifton Brammer of Floyd, Jack and Helen Brammer of Richmond, Billy and Iva Ruth Brammer of Floyd, Betty and Bud Slusher of Floyd, Sue and Ronald Young of Fincastle, and Ed and Rachel Brammer of Ridgeway; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and twelve great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 at New Haven Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Wood, the Rev. Joseph Falls and the Rev. Ronald Young officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the donations can be made to New Haven Baptist Church or Floyd County Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
