Brammer, Calvin Valentino

Calvin Valentino Brammer, 77, of Riner, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Fagg, Va. on September 8, 1930 to the late Otho and Lura Bryant Brammer.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheila Brammer; sons and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Brammer and Keith Brammer and wife, Denise; brothers and sisters-in-law, Maurice Brammer and wife, Kathy, Julian Brammer and wife, Betsy, and Wilmar Brammer and wife JoAnn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ardith Matz and husband, James, Evelyn Rice and husband, Russell; grandchildren, Nicholas Brammer and wife, Kate, and Jacqueline Brammer; great-granddaughter, Caeley Bishop; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Joan Fry of Sarasota, Fla.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phyllis Spiegel officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, September 13, 2007 at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
