Bragg, Gregory Irvin

Gregory Irvin Bragg, age 57, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born April 5, 1964, at Weston, WV, he was the son of the late Rush Bragg and Betty Daugherty. He was a beloved son, husband, father, poppy, brother, uncle, and friend.

One of Greg’s first jobs was at Food Land in Rich Creek. From there, he went on to work at Celanese in Narrows, VA, for many years until sustaining a back injury. Greg then enjoyed a lap-full of kids in his recliner and cooking delicious food for everyone.

Greg was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Red Sulphur Springs, WV. He was a devoted Christian, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher. He did whatever was needed of him at the church.

Those left to cherish Greg’s memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Pamela Bragg; two daughters, Morgan Stevens and husband Hunter, and Megan Bragg and significant other, Jacob Hunter. Greg was also known as Poppy to his first granddaughter, Molly Stevens.

Also surviving are three siblings, Austie Miller and husband Ricky, Rodney Bragg and wife Julie, and Melinda Clemons and husband Mark; and many nieces and nephews that Uncle Buck, Sweet Precious, and Scooby Doo thought highly of.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Derrick Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Red Sulphur Springs, WV.
