Eugene R. Bradley, 92, of Rich Creek, passed away Saturday July 22, 2006 at the Riverview Nursing Home at Rich Creek. Born April 30, 1914 at Lindside, W. Va., he was the son of the late John S. “Shack” Bradley and Georgia A. Little Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Huffman, and two sisters, Eva and Bonnie Booth.

Mr. Bradley was a former employee of the Celanese Corp., and the Virginia Ford Garage, Pearisburg, Va., as a auto body repairman, and later self employed as a auto body repairman at his shop at Midway, Va. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, Va., a 50 year member of the John Dove Masonic Lodge # 78 A.F. and A.M., and the Lindside I.O.O.F. Lodge #362, Lindside, W. Va.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alice L. Hazelwood Bradley; one son, Barry Bradley and wife Karen of New Castle, VA.; one daughter, Vicky Heslep and husband John of Forest, VA.; one brother, John Stanford Bradley and wife Claris of Cashmere, W. Va.; four grandchildren, Mary Alice Turner and husband Chris, Karen Russ and husband Chris, Courtney Jones and husband Scott, and Brent Bradley; four great grandchildren, Christopher and Catherine Turner, Victoria and Eric Russ, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday July 25, 2006 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, W. Va., with the Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rich Creek, VA. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday July 24, 2006 at the funeral home.
