Boyd, Roy Edgar

Roy Edgar Boyd, age 69 of Pulaski passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Salem. Born November 14, 1947 in Martinsville, VA he was the son of the late Robert Elmer Boyd & Okie Blanche Boyd.

His brothers, Donnie Boyd, Pete Boyd and Calvin Boyd also preceded him in death.

Roy was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from Jefferson Yarns with over 45 years of service.

He is survived by his

Daughters- Tammy Lynn Boyd and companion,Shelva Linkous – Pulaski, Sharon Kaye Boyd Cox and husband, James Cox – Pulaski.

Grandchildren- Jason LaRue, Jessica Kaye LaRue, Bridget Linville, Cheyenne Linville, Justin Linville, Joshua Linville, Tyler Cox and Amara Freeman

Great Grandchildren- Logan Foutz, Shelby Foutz, Brooklynn Brammer and Harper Linville

Sisters- Ann Taylor – Pulaski, Kathleen Boyd – Pulaski.

Special Friend- Pauline Freeman – Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, November 26, 2016 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Becky Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery . The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bower Funeral Home.
