Boyd, Lula Mae Spence

Lula Mae Spence Boyd, 81, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at her home in Radford surrounded by her family. Lula was a member of the West Radford Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Wetah Spence; and her husband, James Dudley Boyd, Sr.; and brother, Charles Spence, Sr.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Linda Guthrie, and Wanda and Mike Melton, all of Radford; son and daughter-in-law, J. D. and Kathy Boyd of Riner; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Walter Turman, and Martha and Billy Altizer.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chandler Jones and Rev. Dallas Vines officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

The Boyd family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
