Boyd, Leslie Roosevelt

Leslie Roosevelt Boyd, 95, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Marvin and Gracie Phillips Boyd; wife, Zelda Lively Boyd; son, Todd Boyd; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Boyd (Arleta) and Lester Boyd (Mary).

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Katrina B. Willard (Scott); grandsons, Zachary, Julian, and Benjamin (Candice); great grandchildren, Elijah, and Baby Willard on the way; special friend, Jim Palmer; loving friends of Highland Park Community Church; and many relatives and friends.

Leslie was a member and deacon at Highland Park Community Church and was retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he was a letter carrier in Blacksburg. He served his country in the U.S. Army 135th Infantry, 47th Division and was very active with Pulaski County Schools Weekday Religious Education Program. He was interested in amateur photography, camping, gardening and woodworking, and loved laughing, a good joke, and his smile would light up a room. Leslie was a dedicated and faithful husband, father, and friend.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Highland Park Community Church in Dublin. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastors Phil Madison and Mike Blouse officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
