Boyd, John Myron, Sr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Forrest Boyd of Beckley, WV, Gordon Boyd and Ralph Boyd of Toms River, NJ, David Boyd of Stuart, VA and Robert Boyd of Toms River, NJ; half brothers James Baliles and Coy Grant of Eden, NC; and grandson Phillip “Jeffery” Pack of Meadows of Dan. He is survived by his wife Annie Mae Marshall Boyd of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Bonnie Jean Boyd & husband Dale Elroy of Meadows of Dan, Connie Sue Boyd Harvey & husband Danny of Woodlawn, Geneva Faye Boyd Shepherd (Jenny) of Indian Valley, Phyllis Ann Boyd Montgomery of Meadows of Dan, and Barbara Louise Boyd Stanley & husband Curtis of Laurel Fork; sons & daughters-in-law Myron John Boyd, Jr. & wife Sherrie Dalton Boyd of Laurel Fork, Edwin Thomas Boyd (Eddie) & wife Stephanie Willard Boyd of Laurel Fork, Richard Lee Boyd & wife Kristie Jackson Boyd of Laurel Fork, David Terry Boyd of Meadows of Dan, and Melvin Wayne Boyd of Meadows of Dan; brothers & sisters-in-law Fred & Emma Boyd of Bassett and Isaac & Charlene Boyd of Meadows of Dan; sisters & brothers-in-law Phyllis & Cliff Cline of Holstein, NE and Laura & Carl Jackson of Blue Hill, NE; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Green Mountain Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Nathan Montgomery and Rev. Michael Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery on State Shed Road in Vesta. The family will receive friends at Green Mountain Baptist Church on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
