Boyd, Dale McNair

Dale McNair Boyd, 76, of Radford, Va., passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a retired engineer from both Corning Glass and Hollingsworth and Vose. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Akers Boyd, of Radford; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Dale and Vickie Boyd, of Radford, Timothy Michael and Ruth Boyd, of Radford, and Phillip Lee and Laura Boyd, of Troutville; four grandchildren, Lanie Danielle Boyd, Jesse Dale Boyd, Lillian Pierce Boyd and Eva Reese Boyd; and one great-grandson, Michael Bane. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Lester Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites.
