Bowman, John William

John William Bowman, 80, of Riner, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was a self-employed concrete finisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Bowman and Mary Reed; and his son, Carl David Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hypes Bowman of Riner; son, Johnny William Bowman, III of Christiansburg; daughter, Lisa Bowman Smith of Riner; stepsons, Freddy Vipperman of Christiansburg and Scotty Studebaker of Riner; grandchildren, Daniel, Crystal, Johnny IV, Bradley, Jessica, Nathan and Sheila; 7 great grandchildren; and special friend, Buddy Boy.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the West View Cemetery in Radford.
