Bowman, Freda Linkous

Freda Virginia Bowman, 80, of Merrimac VA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was born on February 6, 1940 to the late Garner C. Linkous and Evelyn Cupp Linkous. She was preceded in death by a son, David Bowman, and brothers, Glenn and George Linkous.

She is survived by a son Johnny W. Bowman; grandchildren, Crystal Dillion and John, Johnny Bowman, Bradley Bowman and Jennifer, Jessica Jones and Jared; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Phillip Linkous and Melissa, sisters, Faye Pack and Bill, Donna Cox and Winston Linkous, Jaunita Tolbert and Casey Williams, Deborah Nester and Jeffrey; several nephews and nieces, several great and great-great nephews and nieces, and many cousins; aunts, Kathleen Linkous and Sylvia Linkous. Special friend Sherri Stacy.

Thank you to the nurses and staff of Highland Ridge Rehab and Nursing Home and the activities department in Dublin, VA.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, 10-11 a.m. and religious service to follow at 11 a.m. with covid restrictions at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Hall. Interment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery.
