Bowman, Carl David

Carl David Bowman, of Blacksburg, went home to be with the Lord on December 7. He was, 49, born October 16, 1964 in Blacksburg. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn and Garner Linkous, Frances and Clayton Reed, uncles George and Glenn Linkous. He is survived by his mother Freda Bowman, father, William (Pete) Bowman and stepmother Sue Bowman, his children and spouses, Bradley and Jennifer Bowman, Jessica and Jared Jones, brother, Johnny Bowman, sister, Lisa Smith, caring and loving companion Barbara Turner and her sons, Jimmy, Brent, and Brian, and her brother, Calvin Kissinger; special dog Brandy, niece and spouse, Crystal and John Dillon, nephew, John Bowman, uncle and spouse, Phillip and Melissa Linkous, aunts and spouses, Faye and Bill Pack, Donna Cox and Winston Linkous, Jaunita Tolbert and Casey Williams, Debbie and Jeffrey Nester, two great-nephews and great-niece, two great-aunts, several cousins. Thanks to everyone for their love and support and help with David during his illness. He appreciated and loved you. Thanks to Radford Carilion Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Larry Christopher and Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
