I loved Mary Bowles, I was her housekeeper on 4 East at Richfield. Every morning I would start my day with her room first..When I went into Mary’s room she would be just waking up..Our relationship started when I noticed a picture of one of her family members..we would talk about each one of the pictures and there was one particular picture that stood out, That picture looked like me when I was younger…I would be just amazed every morning with that picture..I also noticed all her beautiful Afician Violets in her window seal…Every Morning that I worked I would pick up each violet and show her the plant…she would perk up and smile especially when the blooms would come out…Also every Morning I would sing along to the country music that was playing on her television…By the time I had completed cleaning her room she was smiling…As I got closer to the door I would say Mrs. Bowles I love you and she would say I love you too…Im missing my friend who started my day with warmth and Love. I know God has a special place in heaven for such a sweet lady…
