Bouldin, Paul Russell

Paul Russell Bouldin, commonly known as Hawkeye or Bud, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Born February 2, 1929, in Peterstown, WV, he was the son of the late Harvey and Edith Bouldin.

Bud served his country in the Korean War for 3 years and was honorably discharged. He retired from Appalachian Power in Glen Lyn after working there for 28 years. He enjoyed walking and loved fishing at the New River.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Weatherly Bouldin; daughter, Connie Farewell; and an infant son. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, as he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior (Kathleen) and James (Sue); and three sisters, Jean B. Malamisura (Patsy), Myrtle B. Little (Jimmy), and Mary B. Rule (Walter).

Survivors include his daughter, who was his caregiver at her home until she was no longer able, Vickey B. Rachel; grandsons, Nathan, Aaron and wife Cailynn, and Justin Rachel, Shawn Farewell and wife Christine, Stewart Farewell and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Nattie, Nichole, and Austin; and son-in-law, Doug Farewell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
