Katie Sullivan Booth, age 54, passed from this life Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Katie was born January 15, 1971, in Radford, Virginia, the daughter of George and Rita Barnett Sullivan.

She grew up in Price’s Fork, Virginia with a close-knit family and friends including two sisters, and so many aunts, uncles, and cousins nearby she thought she was related to everybody. In May 1993, she graduated from Virginia Tech and on July 24, 1993, she married Richard “Rick” Andrew Booth.

Katie lived for a short time in Madison, Wisconsin, then settled in the Detroit area and had two lovely daughters, Hannah and Erin. In 2006, she moved to Columbus Indiana, and continued to work with children eventually taking on the role of Early Children’s Ministry Director at the Community of Columbus Church in Columbus, Indiana. She worked at her education as well, achieving a master’s degree in 2008 in Family and Children’s Ministry from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. In total, over 15 years were spent working with young children at these churches teaching God’s word at an early age. She and her husband, Rick, are members of the First Presbyterian Church, in Columbus, for the last 10 years, where she served as a deacon.

Katie was also an avid reader and simply loved her books, often pre-ordering the next installment in a series then staying up until the early morning to finish it the day it arrived. To share her love, she served the public schools in the Book Buddies program for several years. She will be deeply missed by those that know and love her.
