Clara Evelyn Booth, 80, residing in Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Dublin, Va., was called home on February 23, 2008.

She was born April 28, 1927, to Rosa and George Morrison of Dublin, Va. She received her education at The West Dublin Elementary School and graduated from Christiansburg Institute in 1945. She was employed at Dublin Garment, Dublin, Va., until her retirement as a garment inspector.

She is preceded in death by husband, William J. Booth; sister, Helen Hampton; and brother, George Morrison Jr. Surviving are her children, William S. Booth, of Dayton, Ohio, and Sharon (Marvin) Gant, of Christiansburg, Va.; grandsons, Antwain Booth, of Charlotte, N.C., and Bryan Booth, of Pulaski, Va.; two step-grandsons; two great-great-grandsons; three sisters, Mattie P. Holmes, of Dublin, Va., Charlotte Williams, of Lauderhill, Fla., and Kathleen Morrison, of Silver Springs, Md.; one brother, Winslow Morrison, of Dublin, Va.; two sisters in-law, Irene Morrison, of Dublin, Va., and Mrytle (Walter) Lewis, of Blacksburg, Va. There are numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and “adopted” relatives, which was a direct result of the love that was shared with so many children that crossed her path.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Dublin United Methodist Church, Dublin, Va., with the Reverend William Rowland officiating. Services entrusted to Penn’s Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
